Now that everyone has a bit more time one their hands, we're delighted to launch a series of short online courses, all designed to be interactive and delivered by webcasting.

Check out the full offering below. Places have been limited to ensure a good teaching ratio, but we don't mind if the whole household wants to join in with each booking, they're most welcome at no extra cost.

Preparing a Yacht for Cruising or Racing - Thursday 7th May

Join our Chief Cruising Instructor, Offshore Racer and RORC Seamanship Award winner for an evening’s briefing on preparing your yacht for either cruising or racing.

We’re delighted to bring our evening programme to an online format. The short course will be delivered over Zoom, with audience interaction and questions encouraged. Equally, camera or microphone is required to join - you can simply relax, view the slides and listen to the presenter as he explains his preparation technique, and how it applies to real life scenarios.

The course will take place on Thursday 7th May from 7pm and will last about 2 hours. You’ll also receive a set of course notes and a checklist Kenneth produced to help aid in your own preparation for getting afloat this year.

Skippering in Tidal Waters - Tues 12th & Thurs 14th May

Join our Chief Cruising Instructor, Offshore Racer and RORC Seamanship Award winner for this short course designed to make you feel more comfortable skippering in tidal waters

Comfortable cruising the Med, or graduated from a Day Skipper or Coastal Skipper course and looking to refresh your knowledge. Then this is the course for you. We’ll aim to discuss the various cruising options on the East Coast of Ireland, while you’ll receive a few during course exercises on tidal flows, using tidal curves, determining a course to steer and most importantly how to practically apply all the above to skippering in a tidal environment.

The course will take place on Tuesday 12th and Thursday 14th May from 7pm and will last about 2 hours. You’ll also receive a set of practise exercises to be worked through on the course. The course fees are €49.

From Irish Sea to Caribbean - Friday 15th May

Join Rachel and Marty for an online Q and A with Kenneth Rumball. Rachel and Marty set sail mid 2019 and got some excellent cruising in before the situation with Coronavirus unfolded. Back in Ireland, they’ll join Kenneth (via Zoom) to tease out what preparation went in, what experience they had, what they learnt and what it was all like.

Kenneth will lead the Q and A, however, those joining can submit questions which we’ll put to them as the talk goes on.

The Q and A will take place on Friday the 15th May and will run from 7pm.

Dinghy Race Tactics and Strategy - Tues 19th to Thurs 21st May

Join our Chief Instructor, Irish RS Dealer and national champion in multiple dinghy classes Kenneth Rumball for three evenings of Dinghy Race Tactics and Strategy.

Kenneth has delivered the programme for a number of years, and the content lends itself to an online environment. This short course will be delivered over Zoom, with audience interaction and questions encouraged.
