The Start Sailing Course introduces you to the basics of sailing. If you’re a fan of getting wet, then Dinghies are for you. Please choose a course date to book.
Prior to the course, we ask that you download and print a copy of our dinghy course registration form. If you have any medical conditions, allergies or are undergoing any medical treatment we ask that you fill out a copy of our Medical Declaration Form. There’s no need to get the forms to us prior to the morning of the course, and we have plenty of spares on hand too.
The course starts at 9.30am on the first day. Registration on the first day is completed in a matter of seconds, so please don’t feel under any pressure to get to us early.
What to Bring…

Where to Attend…
Our clubhouse is the first building on the West Pier. You can't miss us once you get close; we’re a white building with our name displayed in large lettering. Landmarks close-by include The Purty Kitchen Seafood Restaurant and the West Pier Filling Station.
We are well served by public transport; the nearest DART Station is Salthill & Monkstown. Bus numbers 7, 7A, 45A, 46A, 59, 746, 111, 63 and 75 all serve Dun Laoghaire and are a few minutes’ walk from the clubhouse.

Once you’ve the Level 1 certificate under your belt you can keep progressing with another weekend course, the Level 2. It’s also a weekend long programme and builds on the skills you’ll learn on this course.
Please note that by taking a booking with us, you agree to our terms and conditions. Our cancellation policy for this course can be viewed here.
If there’s anything we can help you with between now and your course, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
