Latest photos show boat launch imminent

Our new 7.5m Fjordstar RIB, called Wasp to fit in with sister ships 6.5m Sting and 8.5m Rash, is nearly ready to launch. Her engine is mounted, connected and operational. She’ll be powered by a 150hp Selva XSR. The instruments and wiring are also complete. Featuring the a Raymarine electronics package, Intermediate and Advanced Powerboat course students will be operating the latest marine communication and navigation technology.

Wasp will have seating for 12, comprising of 1 helm and 11 passengers all on individual jockey seats. 8 of the seats, mounted in front of the console will be de-mountable, allowing Wasp to serve as a camera platform with the crew from Irish National Marine Services.
