Boats back in the Water

Our 1720 fleet is back in the water. Berthed on their moorings off the West Pier they’re ready for action, and will be in service this weekend on our first course of our adult sailing programme in 2016.

A great way to experience another side of Dublin

Sailors on one of our course will experience the unique view of Dublin from the bay, with sailors taking in as many of the sights of the coastline, all while learning  a new skill. Views include the Pigeon Towers in Ringsend, the Aviva Stadium, Howth Head, Dalkey Island and the famous shoreline. It’s certainly an excellent way to spend a weekend, and considering after all the views, you’ll also have the fundamentals of sailing a boat!

What we do

Our 1720 Sportsyachts are stable, dry and easy to steer. These boats are perfect for beginners, because apart from all of the above - they're fast and very responsive. At all times participants have one of our experienced instructors on board with them.

Andrew, one of our course lead instructors explains his priorities for a course.

"I aim to have each and every sailor leave the course feeling a sense of accomplishment - having learnt a new skill, all while enjoying their time hugely. By the end of the programme you will be able to set the sails, steer the boat and sail at all angles to the wind. All the instructors and I prefer to learn by getting onto the water and letting you get to grips with the skills under our expert supervision and guidance - because that's what the course is all about - getting onto the water and enjoying yourself!"

What are you waiting for?

Courses run from March to September, and we would love nothing more than to have you join us for a weekend. There’s full details on the course here.
