We're delgihted to announce a new location in Poolbeg!

After 40 years of training in Dun Laoghaire we’re excited to announce that operations are expanding to the River Liffey. In conjunction with Poolbeg Yacht and Boat Club we’re establishing a full schedule of Children’s Summer Sailing Courses, based on the successful model of programmes in Dun Laoghaire.

Children’s courses will run Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm each day of the Summer holidays. There will be supervision available at no extra charge from 8.30am and to 5.30pm. The programmes are for students aged 7-17 years, with the crucial dynamic of dividing children into groups, first of their own age and then by sailing experience carrying over to our new location.

We’re joined by Poolbeg Yacht and Boat Club’s senior instructor Ciara McCormack who will come onboard as the new Senior Instructor. Plenty of support has been provided by the club, specifically by Sailing Secretary Gordon Kelley, who have aided greatly in establishing the new school. This will be an exciting test for a new model for growing the sport in partnership between a school and club.

Over the coming months we’ll be announcing an adult, powerboat and shorebased schedule of courses, but in the meantime you can view information on our children’s summer sailing courses from Poolbeg here.
