Our 4-6 Years group is in its 6th year of running programmes during the Summer.

"Ahoy me maties! Well, shiver me timbers but we Sea Explorers can't wait to take over the beach and the harbour for another summer! We sure have a busy and exciting summer planned! Come with us to check out the plants and animals in their natural habitats. Fun and excitement are assured as children do what they love best! Investigating, examining, exploring in the fresh air from Salthill to Seapoint! Following a hearty snack, our Sea Explorers magically transform into Pirates as we explore the harbour's surroundings, seeking out caves, seals and all the excitement a busy harbour has to offer.  The natives, especially the sailors are usually pretty scared when they see us in our pirate boats with our Jolly Roger flying high! With an "Arr" or "What be happening" from our motley crew, they tend to get out of our way pretty quickly as they know we are after some  "treasure"!  Inevitably, we find something to keep our hearty crew happy by Friday!"

Just a flavour of the fun that's had in the 4-6 Years Sea Explorers Group running each week during the Summer from 9am-12.30pm daily. The group is run by Muriel Rumball a former primary school principal, who looks after the school's Science Foundation Ireland Accredited Discover Primary Science and Maths Programmes for school groups during the school year. The DPSM programme forms the basis for the 4-6 Years Group during the Summer ensuring that not only are the children entertained, but they learn loads about the marine ecosystem too.
