15+ Years Group – November Newsletter
Hi There,
We've had a great season so far. The weather has really been on our side so far. As the days get shorter and colder it is important to remember to wrap up to stay warm.
We’ll be moving even more into our fleet of keelboats as we progress into winter. We've managed to move many people up to double handers so far this season with almost the entire fleet out every week which is great to see. We hope to continue this and allow our skills to develop even further as we get more comfortable with the new boats.
We've been making steady progress through our log books with emphasis in on the water activities. As the weather gets less predictable we expect to dive a bit further into our theory.
Plans for a whole group day trip….
I'm extremely confident in our abilities so far and wish to adapt our skills to some of our keelboats such as the 1720's and squibs. This will hopefully allow us to plan a day trip for the entire 15+ years group to enjoy further into the season or kicking back off in January.
This will allow us to practice several valuable skills from navigation to cruising. I look forward to the coming weeks and fingers crossed the weather allows for continued fun and training.
Sailing during the School Closures…
In the case of school closures next week we'll be open for students affected from 9am-5pm, but are open from 8am to 6pm for early drop off and late collection at no extra cost. Keelboat and Yacht Sailing will be the main activity ensuring everyone is on the water rather than in it. If the strike is called off, we'll issue a full refund. The cost for each day is €39.
Yours Sincerely,
Conor Keane
