Jedi crosses the finish line of the 2017 Rolex Fastnet Race!

The crew aboard Jedi are no doubt looking forward to a well deserved rest after completing the Rolex Fastnet Race. This stunning result is the culmination of months of work for the mixture of offshore novices and professionals.

The crew of Fearghus McCormack, Deirdre Foley, Lorcan Tighe, Conor Kinsella, Kylie McMillan, Keith Kiernan, George Tottenham and Skipper Kenneth Rumball finished at 21.01 on Thursday the 10th of August after 4 days, 9 hours, 21 minutes and 41 seconds of racing.

At the time of finishing, they’re lying 58th in IRC overall, 9th in class and looking like strong contenders for the Roger Justice Trophy, awarded to the highest placed sailing school yacht.

Time will tell if they’ve done enough, with crews still competing, but for now they should sit back and relax with the satisfaction of a job really well done.

WELL DONE TO THE CREW FROM ALL THE TEAM AT THE IRISH NATIONAL SAILING & POWERBOAT SCHOOL!
