Jedi’s crew have worked hard over the last 24 hours and rounded the Fastnet Rock!
After a great morning and early afternoon Jedi was progressing well across the celtic sea. By 10pm last night she was lying in 10th place in IRC 3 and 45th overall after dropping slightly heading north for the fresher breeze. This worked well, with the top ten boats in IRC3 separated by under 1 hour on corrected time. Very close racing!
This morning Jedi rounded the Fastnet Lighthouse (7.28am to be precise), and is now on the return leg to Plymouth and as of 10am in 58th overall and 11th in class. Mojito (our regular ISORA competition) is slightly ahead, lying 8th in IRC3. Both are in lighter airs South East of the Fastnet Rock.
Of course, we should also mention that Alexander Rumball, brother to Jedi’s Skipper (and school Principal) Kenneth Rumball is aboard Lisa with RORC Commodore Michael Boyd who are currently lying 20th overall and 2nd in IRC2.
