After just under two days of racing Jedi lies 8th in class three and 32nd in overall.
After a cracking start from the squadron end of the line Jedi was up at the front of class three holding 2nd in class and up to 16th overall throughout yesterday afternoon, however, as night fell Jedi slipped back, and was 33rd in class at one point.
The crew have certainly found some speed today and have clawed back a lot on the leading boats. At At 3pm the majority of the smaller boats were becalmed not having passed Land’s End, however, Jedi kept her boat speed up and closed up to 10th in class and 64th overall by 4pm, when she hit the doldrums.
Overnight she passed the Lizard, Land’s End and took the northerly route around the Land’s End TTS (Traffic Separation Scheme for Shipping) and made great progress. Ahead of Jedi is regular ISORA competitior Mojito, another J109. They've sailed a brilliant race so far and are lying 3rd in class three and 15th overall. You can follow their progress on their twitter account here.
It’s an upwind slog to the Fastnet Rock now for Jedi’s crew, pictured below:
