This Saturday the 12th of we're trying to get as many of the school's boats on the water as possible.
The final event in the Irish National Sailing & Powerboat School’s Celebration of 40 years of teaching will take place this Saturday the 12th of May. We’ll try to get as many of the school’s fleet of boats as possible onto the water at one time and take a photograph of it. Balloons and bunting will adorn the boats as we gather them all in Dun Laoghaire Harbour. We’ll hold a briefing at 2.15pm which will take about 20 minutes, before then gearing up and heading onto the water just before 3pm. We’ll all be back in by 5.30pm where we’ll have some light refreshments, there’ll be a few short (I promise) speeches before we head to the Purty Kitchen for an après sail party.
All staff past and present are invited to take part, as we’ve 6 1720s, 2 squibs, 3 Laser, 20 Double handed dinghies, 40 Picos, 80 Toppers, 34 Oppies and 40 Powerboats to get out!
