Modules Introduction

We've designed a modular based programme to bring good sailors to the standard required for an RYA instructor course. Sailing, powerboating, presentation, customer service, communication, teamwork and leadership skills are all developed. Detailed breakdowns of each module are presented below.

Pre-Instructor Course Qualifications

Candidates undertaking a RYA instructor course are required to hold the following qualifications:

  • RYA Powerboat Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • VHF Radio License

While these courses have been scheduled to run prior to the pre-entry assessment, they are nevertheless valuable skills for any boater to have, and should they not be successful in their Pre-Entry or Instructor course these qualifications will be of significant assistance in any action plan, or route forward while preparing for another assessment or course in the future.

  • Sail Training 1 - €280
  • Sail Training 2 - €280
  • National Powerboat Certificate and Practise - €319
  • Shorebased - €328
