What is The Junior Club?
Set up in 2005, the Junior Club is a fantastic way for our young sailors to continue on with their sailing career during the school term. Starting from 5 September, the Junior Club will run for 15 Saturdays up until 19 December. Sailors are assigned to age groups in the same way as per our summer courses:
7 to 10 Years - Beginner / Intermediate / Advanced Sections
11 to 14 Years - Beginner / Intermediate / Advanced Sections
15+ Years - Beginner / Intermediate / Advanced Sections

The Instructor Team will be largely the same too so all will be very familiar for our young guns! All in all, The Junior Club is about having fun, making friends, improving sailing skills and making inroads up the sailing ladder! Charity events, Christmas Parties, Halloween Fancy Dress, Powerboat Trips to O’Connell Bridge and much much more also form an integral part of the Junior Club!
What Times does the Club Run?
Junior Sailors have two options in terms of times of attendance on Saturdays:
10am-1pm OR 2-5pm
In this way their sailing class fits in with other activities they may be undertaking on a Saturday, be it rugby, drama, music or art!
What are the Dates for Term 1?
The dates for Term 1 are as follows:
September 5, 12, 19, 26
October 3, 10, 17, 31
November 7, 14, 21, 28
December 5, 12, 19
Term 1 will conclude on Saturday 19 December with a Christmas Party and a visit from Santa Claus!
Will my Child get their Sailing Logbook marked regularly in pursuit of attaining a Level?
Absolutely. In effect the Junior Club is a once-a-week continuation of what the child undertook on our week-long summer courses. Logbooks will be marked monthly by our team of Instructors, who do their very best to ensure that your child achieves the most they possibly can.
And Most Importantly... What is the Price?
The cost for fifteen Saturdays is €299, or less than €20 per week. This price is inclusive of all necessary safety and waterproof gear, and a complimentary hot chocolate each week.
We can also accept payment in two instalments for Term 1 – The First Instalment is of €150 is due before commencement of the Junior Club in September and the Second Instalment of €149 is due on 17 October.
