We have successfully delivered Primary School sailing programmes for over ten years. These programmes are designed for children between the ages of 5 and 12 years, and run from our Clubhouse in Dun Laoghaire. As different schools will have differing timeframes to fit sailing into we can offer excellent flexibility in delivering an excellent beginner programme to your school.
Sailing can be scheduled after school or on Saturday mornings.
We can deliver two or three hour packages, depending on preference. We provide all necessary safety and waterproof gear for students. Our state of the art ‘Oppie’ dinghies are designed for young children and provide an excellent vehicle for getting started in the sport. Our courses can be deigned to work with your syllabus. With our schools programme, each child is individually monitored and as a result, we can provide assesment on an individual basis.

- What to wear going on the water
- How to best rig (setup) your boat
- How to tack (steer the boat through the wind)
- Steerting a simple course.
As young sailors progress, we offer them tougher and tougher challenges, thus our young sailors are learning every time they go out on the water.
