Over two hundered happy sailors have signed up for our Junior Club Sailing, which runs on Saturdays for Term 1 between September and Christmas - a fantastic testament to the dedication and motivation of our young sailors.

In response to the economic circumstances of the day, we made the decision to cut prices by 1/3 and also offer an payment instalment option to ensure that September didn't prove to be penal on the parents of our young guns, the culmination of which has seen us reach unprecedented membership numbers!

Speaking after final numbers were announced, Niall Martin, Manager, espoused the following thoughts:

"The enrolment for Junior Club 2009 is unprecedented in the extreme. Put simply we are putting more Junior Sailors on the water on Saturdays than the rest of Ireland combined, which is just incredible. The dynamic of the Junior Club promotes social sailing, fun, comraderie and personal development. The aim is to see our students leaving at the end of a Saturday just counting down the hours until they ger to come back. From our point of view it is extremely pleasing that the uptake is of this level when one considers the present economic and sometimes unfavourable meterological conditions."
